Serious injuries after car crashes into crowd near Boston airport

Multiple people are injured after a car crashed into a crowd of people in Boston, according to authorities.

Massachusetts State Police posted on Twitter that “several” people were injured after the vehicle struck people gathered near Logan International Airport around 1:45 p.m. Monday.

The crash happened near the airport’s taxi pool.

A spokesman told WBTS that there were serious injuries, though it was not immediately clear how many or if any were life-threatening.

A police source told WHDH that the accident was not terrorism-related and was likely the result of an error by the driver, who remained at the scene.
