Florida police officers had to rescue a dog that was left in a hot car.
Officers said a person nearby saw the dog inside the car Monday morning. All of the car windows were up and there was no way for the dog to cool off.
An officer responding to the call was able to break a rear window, open the door, and get the dog out. Officers gave the dog some water.
Police said the car reached 110 degrees that day.
The dog’s owner eventually returned to her car and was issued a citation.
