Midlands strip club fire was arson, authorities say


The recent fire at a Midlands strip club was intentionally set, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s in locating the suspect, or suspects, wanted for arson.

The incident occurred on Nov. 8, and sheriff’s deputies responded at 3:30 a.m. to Laroice Gentlemans Club, at 119 Carrie Anderson Road, near HardScrabble Road.

When deputies arrived, they found the building on fire, and a white Chevy Impala had been driven through the front doors of the building.

The Columbia/Richland Fire Department was called, and determined that the fire was intentionally set.

The owner of Laroice Gentlemans Club is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
