KCPD: Three victims from two separate weekend homicides all from Tulsa

The Kansas City Police Department says three men killed in two separate weekend homicides were all from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Police were originally called to the 1600 block of 80th Street around 9:30 p.m. to investigate a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a man shot to death inside a vehicle.

That man has been identified as 36-year-old Darren Harris from Tulsa.

Police said at the time they did not believe that the disturbance call and the homicide were related.

Around 30 minutes later, officers were dispatched to an ambulance call in the area of 28th Terrace and Myrtle.

Two men were pronounced dead on that scene as the result of gunshot wounds.

Those men have been identified as John W. Waldon, 21, and Andre L. Barnes, 39, both from Tulsa.

Kansas City Police said investigators are still following up on leads in both of these cases. No word yet on if the two incidents are related.
