Parts of Chase Bank’s website and app appeared to be malfunctioning Monday afternoon, leaving customers unable to check their balances.
The breadth of the problem wasn’t immediately clear, though people around the country took to Twitter to complain that they couldn’t see their balances. Customers who try to see their balances see “not available” instead, along with a message “It looks like this part of our site isn’t working right now.”
A Chase spokeswoman said she was looking into the issue. Chase’s customer service team tweeted Monday afternoon, “We’re working to restore full access to our website and mobile app. We apologize and appreciate your patience.”
